The Piet Oudolf Garden at Scampston Hall
I am an RHS Level 3 qualified gardener and horticulturalist based in Congresbury, Bristol.
Eleven years ago I was inspired to move my career to all things plants, I have undertaken extensive training and obtained experience in many areas of horticulture, recently passing the RHS Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture with commendation.
While living in Hampshire I completed a year’s practical training with the Women’s Farm and Garden Association, worked as a Tour Guide at Sir Harold Hillier Gardens in Romsey, and studied at Sparsholt College, passing RHS Level 2 Certificate in Horticulture with commendation.
I started my own gardening business near Southampton, rapidly expanding in size and expertise, growing by recommendation. I also gained wide ranging horticultural experience working at New Forest Lavender Farm.
With a love of sharing my knowledge of plants, I taught workshops in pruning and propagation at Eastleigh College, Hampshire.
On moving to North Somerset in 2014, I worked full time at Middlecombe Nursery, in Congresbury, enriching my plant knowledge in this inspirational nursery environment.
I enrolled at the University of Bristol Botanic Garden studying for the RHS Level 3 Diploma in Horticulture, moving on to teaching horticulture workshops, assisting with teaching the RHS Level 3, Practical course, and working as a Volunteer Tour Guide.
I am now running my horticultural business in North Somerset, in which I offer you the expertise and enthusiasm I have developed from these experiences.
